Hanke Christmas 2008

Last weekend we had the Hanke Christmas in Ohio. We started hanging out @ Maw Maw and Paw Paw's house then we moved onto Kalahari (which is one of the coolest places I have been, check out the link). It was a great time with family. I got to play guitar hero for the first time and thought it was pretty cool! Although @ first I didn't do so well.

Unfortunately, we didn't have any pictures of the actual waterpark part because we didn't trust our cameras near all that water. :) Mark and I have been enjoying our new camera and GPS (thanks mom and dad)....gotta love technology! It was a long ride home back to Baltimore because Ella and Luci were both sick, which Mark and I got later...really almost the whole Hanke family got sick.

Mark finished his finals despite his sickness and now we are hanging out in Ohio with the Humphrey family. So a new post will follow with detail from that time together.

Here are some pictures from the fun weekend!

bye, bye compter...holiday madness

Let me first start out this post with a moment of silence....Mark's computer, due to some unfortunate events, was hit by a couple cars in the middle of the highway and is now -of course-dead. He just bought this computer in August for school. We are hoping our renters insurance will cover it. It was a good trusty laptop while it lasted....:(

But other than that we have been starting to celebrate Christmas @ the Humphrey house! It has been really exciting this year, because both of the girls are so involved. We went to a Christmas parade yesterday and a friends house on Saturday to start the fun. We even put up our tree and made some sugar cookies. Ella is very excited to count down the days til Jesus' birthday! We have the Hanke Christmas this weekend and we are very excited to see everyone!

Side note: we have been working on potty training--two victories this past week...1st time asking to pee at a restaurant (I got so excited, I walked into the men's restroom:) and pooping on the potty...which has been a HUGE struggle...we still aren't fully there, but we are making progress!

Of course here are some pictures....enjoy! and Happy early Christmas!

Ella and I shared some hot chocolate together when we finally came home---it was over 2.5 hour parade! Mark and Luci went home early!
