It appears as though Luci won!

So, it is settled...and I am quite content with Luci for the spelling of her nickname. Although it has been joked by one of my brothers that he will spell her name LucY for the rest of her life (possibly) :0) Thanks for all of your votes though...

Well, the rest of the week will prove to be busy. My Mom is coming down and we will be having a garage sale on Friday and Saturday! Also a lot of cleaning, organizing and possibly packing will also be started!

Today we were surprised with a package from Nana...a Cabbage Patch for Luci (although Ella is quite taken with her as well-as to be expected)...Here are some pictures of her enjoy it! I was told when I was little that I looked like a cabbage patch kid...never knew if that was a compliment or not...but by the looks of it, I think Luci and her doll look fairly similar!

Sweet Luci!

This is the picture where I think she looks like her doll...double chin??

See, Ella, did let Luci play with her doll...but she did have to inspect it for herself:)

By the way...Mark put a new post on his blog...check it out!

I thought I would never see the day!

When I moved here three years ago I couldn't find my favorite bread @ Walmart...I know crazy, they are supposed to have everything-right? Well, yesterday, I found my bread @ the Walmart here...figures, I am moving! I took a picture to remind me, though. Plus pictures of the girls enjoying spaghetti!

Here is the bread!! Yummy!

I hope someday she will be a little less messy when eating spaghetti!

I even mashed up some noodles and sauce for Luci...

Now for some sweetness...

No rice stories to add today....thankfully...

But, yesterday we hung out outside for two hours in the backyard. Luci and I mostly stayed on a blanket. Ella, on the other hand, ran around blowing bubbles and just having the time of her life. I didn't mind, she ended up taking a good nap-which has been hit or miss lately. Of course I had to take some pictures...since we will be moving soon, I want to have our last months well documented.

What trouble a toddler can get into...in 3 seconds or less!

We had a great morning running and playing @ the park...we got home just in time for lunch. I had some leftovers, so Luci and Ella played while I got lunch warmed up...one of the meals was Jaipur Vegetables and Rice...Well, Ella loves rice so I let her have this dish and I had a pulled-pork sandwich, which was just as good:) Luci was having some Del Monte Spaghetti Dinner!

Well I was feeding Luci and the next thing I hear is Mommy...my nose...! Ella seemed to me in slight discomfort. So, I asked her what was wrong...her response...rice in my nose! A slight bit of fear went over me, but then I thought, I can handle this....right? So I got some tweezers and removed the first two with not much trouble and sat down to eat the rest of my lunch (I couldn't see the third piece of rice at this time). A few minutes later, Ella was pretty upset and still messing with her nose. I got one of Mark's little Dr. flashlights (I am pretty sure that is the technical name), and shined it up her nose...and yes there was a third one WAY up her nose...I couldn't use tweezers. So, quick call to Mark at work...and then was reminded that a nose aspirator would probably do the job...and it did! I would like to say that Ella learned her lesson, but only time will tell!

Here are the three pieces of rice...You know me and pictures!

What a crazy weekend!

We drove 12 hours to Baltimore and 12 hours back in one weekend. Our mission: A place to live for the next 2 years while Mark is @ Johns Hopkins (Luci came with us-because she is still breastfeeding and Ella stayed in Kentucky with Nana and Papa). Mission completed! After a long Saturday of looking and a couple more on Sunday, I think we have found the place. I only have pictures of the outside and they are accidentally in sepia...Mark took them that way...but I did leave it in that setting...oops! There is color on the street...this isn't Pleasantville.

It is a duplex...Our neighbors are the landlord's son! We will have 3 bedrooms.....SO YOU HAVE TO COME VISIT US!!!!

We also have had offers on our house this past weekend (praise God!!!)

Other random pictures from today:

Ella laying in the grass today, I am loving the warmer weather!

I can finally put Ella's hair in french braids, and she actually sat long enough for me to do it!

Luci in the pack-in-play @ the hotel...we put it by the mirror and she had such a good time.

Luci what is your number on the sleep number bed?

ok...now what!

I had another suggestion for a nickname spelling...I don't know...what do you think...vote on the top left side!

Lucy vs Luci

I have been trying to decide ever since she was born if we should write Lucia's nickname with a i or y. So, last night I made the final decision (well at least until she grows old enough to choose which ever one she wants). But, Luci wins...mostly because her real name is Lucia...spelled with an i. So, from now on....I will be writing Luci! Just thought I would pass it on:)

I have a love/hate relationship with technology!

I am trying to archive my blog, so I can keep a copy of it on my hard drive...just in case. When I read the instructions it said that I had to use one of the given blogger templates...so I have switched back to one of them....I still have a copy of the HTML of my other site just in case that was a lie. I need to set up my proxy settings...I think I know what they mean by this, but I need Mark's help! He is good with stuff like this!! Anyway enough of that...I have more cute pictures of the girls, plus a video of Lucy crawling S L O W L Y! She has the basics, so its just a matter of time till she will be traveling everywhere. Notice this video is in color...others have been in sepia...Mark bought it to my attention that when Lucy and Ella grow up they might think that color video/pictures weren't invented yet....Yeah like that would happen*wink*

Stop and smell the flowers...even the fake ones:)

Smile!

I love this picture!!!! Mostly because she is looking at the camera and smiling at the same time!

Tunnel Fun!

We have a tunnel that Ella played with a lot when she was younger...it hadn't been used in awhile...too many other cool things to do. Well, I got it out today (I watch another little girl on Mondays) for them to play with...the next thing I knew, Lucy had crawled inside and was so excited to experience the new fun. I found this kinda funny since the other little girl was terrified of it! Once Ella realized that Lucy was inside she went crazy, she was so excited to have her little sister roll around with her:)

How fun, Mom!

You have been holding out on me, I didn't know you had this fun toy!

Like Ella's new pants from BabyGap, I love the cherries on them:) Plus they were on sale, you really don't get any better than that (well you do...but you know what I mean)

Ella wanted to put on her swimming suit the other day...but it was also colder, so I made her wear some pj pant bottoms. It ended up being a pretty funny outfit. Then she even added a pair of my shoes to top the outfit off!

This girl cracks me up!

Happy Late Birthday!

It was my Mom's birthday yesterday! Happy Birthday! Sorry I didn't post it yesterday, but we just put our house on the market this week and we had our first showing today. I was frantically getting everything ready and have put blogging to the side. So for all of you that were loosing sleep over a new post, this is for you!

Lucy-she is trying so hard to be grown up like her big sister. She most recently has been trying to steal Ella's doll (NOT a good idea on her part, but she is curious)! Favorite new food-Biter Biscuits (they are extremely messy, though-a slight drawback). She is getting the two teeth on the top now!!! But she has been sleeping better since we drug her up at night (that sounds horrible, when I put it that way). How about, when we give her the dose of Tylenol. Here are some pictures of Lucy and I hanging out while Ella took a nap. Sometimes it is nice when they take naps at different times so I can spend some quality time with each one.

Enjoying the biter biscuit

She really can't get enough of trying to stand

She is SO happy...most of the time (minus her teeth hurting)

Mommy and Lucy!!!

Lastly, I am so looking forward to MAY 16th...you may ask...why that date, what happens then! Well take a look!

Crazy Frog!

Ella likes to dance and sing...I don't think anyone is surprised about that. Recently, (last night) we were having a dance party (great way to exercise, I might add) and Ella was dancing and singing (more emphasis on the singing). Well, listen and watch-I am sure you will enjoy! She didn't want it to end...she didn't want to say goodbye...only sing!!

My little pirate!

You will understand what I mean once I post the picture. Mark actually took this one a couple of weeks ago, but with everything going on it kinda got forgotten.

Right now they are both (ella and lucy) supposed to be taking a nap...since it is 2:20pm...for those of you who don't know they share a room. It works most of the time, they seem to find comfort being together. But, at times like now-when they are both just a little too wild, but need to sleep-they talk to each other for what seems like forever (well ella talks and lucy babbles). I will go in their room in a couple minutes and tell them to quiet down. Lucy usually quiets down once Ella does...see the older child needs to step up and be the more mature one:) Since I was a firstborn I am allowed to say that...

By the way the picture at the top of my blog is of decorations in Macau for the Chinese New Year...I wanted to use a picture from the trip to help me remember our time there!

Arr...me babies! (sorry I had to type that...)

Ella's hair has seemed to grow an inch in the past couple days...I love how it curls at the end!

Daddy comes home today!! We can't wait!

Some more tidbits...

I forgot to post a picture of Lucy's first tooth...she is now in the process of getting the one beside it, did I mention how much I love child/infant Tylenol...I wonder what parents did before it...I don't want to think about it! I love being spoiled int he 21st century!

The next picture is of someone that rarely gets much blog time...MOSES! He is really great to have around:) I hope where ever we move to in Baltimore will allow him to come too-please pray for that!

Lastly, I had to post of picture of Ella...and how could I not with this adorable smile:)

Lucy!

She is amazing me more and more each day. She is really showing her personality! She is crawling (backwards), pulling herself up on her knees, and stands for just a bit...if you help her. I have a video to share as well as some pictures. She is also learning to pick up Cheerios:) We are missing Daddy right now...he is at a conference in Sacramento...I heard he might go to San Francisco today...don't worry I'm not jealous (OK I am terribly jealous). Did you know that the first GAP store was in San Francisco?? Just thought I would share.
Enjoy pictures of our little one-Lucia!

Ella aka Flower Girl

Ryan and Jill are getting married July 12th and asked Ella to be their flower girl. I was so excited...one reason being SHE IS GOING TO LOOK SO DARN CUTE! Over the weekend we went shopping with Jill to find a cute dress...For some reason it is really hard to find WHITE dresses. We tried on a pink dress to get an idea of size...but later decided on one from the internet. Here are some pictures that Jill took of her trying on the dress...as soon as she had it on she wanted to put on her tennis shoes...it was hilarious!!

This dress came with one for your doll, too:)

There are her tennis shoes:)

I love the buttons and bow in the back! Let's hope ordering it from the internet in uneventful!

Switching to a NEW BLOG website

Ok, you can call me crazy, but I was getting tried of the set up at xanga. Plus, I felt like I couldn't customize the webpage like I wanted to, so that lead me on a search...and Google won! So I will put a link on my xanga site that will lead you here...but as of right now this webpage is where you will get the most up-to-date info on our lives!

That being said here is an update:

Last week my Grandpa Savidge passed away. It was sad to see him go, but he was 87 (I think...) and so he had a very full life. So we were in Ohio spending time with family. That part was wonderful...all of my brothers (and sister-in-laws) were in town and my one niece, Abbey! So I will share a picture of my Grandpa...it was taken about a month ago. We took the girls to see him before I left for China. Grandpa got to hold Lucy and Ella enjoyed seeing Savidge Papa-that's what she has decided to call him. Others are from this weekend...ranging from pictures at the Hotel...which had a unheated pool (so COLD) and no electricity in the morning (we had to get ready at the funeral home)...very eventful, but luckily we all go with the flow pretty well:0)

Enjoy and hope you like the new site!

See the water was cold...Jill was tough enough to brave it! Look how happy she made Ella!

For some reason Ella didn't want to sleep on her blow up mattress...just beside it!

As you can see we are starting Ella early being a little photographer...She likes to put everyone in the right place...then say CHEESE!
